Dara is Back for Mystery Solving & Monster Fighting Action in Dark Pink Vol. 2!
Dark Pink is a radical comic book written and created by Christopher R. Ford. Set in 1980s New Orleans, it combines a noir detective storyline with supernatural elements and unique music integration unlike anything seen in a comic before.
Our first issue had Dara opening the Dark Pink Detective Agency in the heart of the French Quarter with the goal of making some quick cash and learning the tricks of the private eye trade in order to find out what happened to her parents who had just disappeared in New Orleans.
A missing woman case leads her into a world of mystery, intrigue, and…vampires!
WHAT’S NEXT?
Now it’s time for Volume 2 and a new day brings a new case. Star college football player Jericho “Action” Jackson attacks his girlfriend and then disappears. She says he turned into a monster, a werewolf to be exact. Unfortunately for Dara, this kind of case is becoming her foretay. But hey, if you can take on a vampire, why not a werewolf right?

And the interior will be done by Caanan White. These award-winning artists have created covers and art for Marvel, DC Comics, Image Comics, and more. From Batman to Spider-Man, Wonder Woman to Misty Knight, and even Spawn. Two of the covers pay homage to two iconic 80’s pop culture creations.

And everything else you loved about the iconic decade that was the 1980's. And it all goes down to the sounds of a slammin’ 80’s soundtrack, incorporating music in a way never before done in the comic book medium. Pop culture references and easter eggs are littered throughout the issue. How many will you spot?
